Low Rise Pants

What are commonly referred to as low rise pants have become all the rage with the Generation Y demographic.  What we are referring to when we say low rise pants are generally, women’s slacks which, when worn, have their tops below the waist line. For years, plus sized clothing has been created of different materials and even different designs when compared with misses sizes. For  a long time women of all ages with bigger figures have been pressured to dress in clothing which is not even in vogue. A person could easily locate the section of the clothing dept. which featured the plus sized pants simply by browsing for the glowing colours mixed together with a whole lot of black.
For reasons unknown the clothing companies supposed that if women were overweight or simply pregnant they desired to dress in dazzling colors, huge prints and rayon fabrics. So many times the plus size pants area would be right next to the maternity apparel.

As far as material is concerned Focus 2000 is always ahead of the game.  Focus 2000 skirts like the trumpet skirt comes in a wrinkle free blend consisting primarily of Polyester, of which it is 63 percent.  This makes the trumpet skirt extremely durable, so you can be sure it isn’t going to fall apart on you after a couple of washes.  The polyester is blended with 33 percent Rayon which contributes to the durability, while giving the skirt a pleasant texture that feels nice against your skin.  The final ingredient in this fabric mix making up this focus 2000 skirt is the 4 percent spandex which of course makes it just stretchy enough to give you that great hip hugging look that every skirt needs.

One of the greatest things about Focus 2000 skirts and the Trumpet skirt in particular is that it is available in so many sizes.  Standard skirt sizes include 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, and 18, but that is not all.  The trumpet skirt is also available in petite sizes including 2P, 4P, 6P, 8P, 10P, 12P, and 14P.  This is great news for those of us that are somewhat vertically challenged.

The Stretch skirt is made from the same long lasting, great looking and great feeling polyester blend material as the Trumpet skirt and comes in standard sizes only including 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, and 18.  This doesn’t mean it can’t be worn by those of us that are petite, however as this is a slightly shorter skirt to begin with.

Of course skinny jeans are all the rage and anyone who can wear them does wear them and even some people who should not wear them, wear them anyways.

All of us are looking for those great fitting dress pants that are as mostly appealing simply because they’re so comfy. I had been shocked to uncover what I discovered was my perfect slim fit in a set of low cut skinny dress pants. Women,  pants are not always chosen for their comfort however, if you buy the correct size you could find your self truly shocked as well.

Low Cut Skinny Dress Pants

Be forwarned. Not just anybody can wear low cut skinny dress pants and if you pair it up with the wrong top, it could spell fashion disaster. These pants are nice worn with a loose fitting top or possibly even a long over the hips turtleneck. Done properly, you can accentuate your curves and still keep your bare essentials covered. Adding a matching button up sweater or possible a jacket will finish off the look.

Some ladies give this style a poor reputation because, well frankly, they have no business wearing low or skinny dress pants. These types of pants have been really popular, particularly the skinny ‘jeans’ variety for a number of years and more recently, dress pants have joined the skinny parade.  I think your money will be well spent on skinny dress pants.  Women like to buy pants that aren’t going to go out of style in six months, so I thought that this was worth mentioning.  I don’t believe these to be another passing fad. Sometimes you have to wear dress pants right?  Not everyone has a job that allows them to wear jeans all the time.  I wish I did, but must of the time I am dressing for success.  Where I work, I typically wear variations of the standard dress slacks on Monday through Thursday, but on Friday, they let us go a little more casual.  We don’t get jeans days like a lot of you out there, but they still call it casual Friday.  For me, that means a pair of skinny dress pants.

I know this site is mainly about Focus 2000 pants and they do carry some skinny jeans, but not as much along the lines of skinny dress pants.  Focus 2000 does make petite dress pants and dress pants in smaller sizes, but not much of what I would true skinny dress pants which are typically a stretch material like lycra, blended with perhaps polyester or some other synthetic.

So, if Focus 2000 isn’t shipping these things out in droves, where can you go to get some great dress pants of the skinny variety?  Well, not surprisingly for me any way, you can get some great deals on skinny dress pants at Sears.  Many people don’t realize it but Sears has some really great fashions and their prices are great compared to some of the other big box stores.  I also like the fact that I can buy skinny dress pants either online or in the store at Sears.

Yet another place to shop for skinny dress pants is Fashion Bug.  Admittedly, they do not have the widest selection in the world, but what they do have is a lot of matching accessories.  Even if you cannot find your fav pants in their online store, you will still want to have a look at their many colorful accessories.  Like many other retailers, they do have a little bit more available along the lines of skinny jeans, some of which come in colors which is kind of like a faux skinny dress slacks.

Finally, for those of you out there looking for slim fit dress pants but not in a size two, there are some options for you as well.  Often, the skinny dress pants in larger sizes are simply termed slim fit.  They are basically the same, but in larger sizes and different proportions.  Lane Bryant carries these as do a number of other retailers.  Since these don’t really fall into the category of skinny, I’ll leave the detailed analysis of these for another article

So, this has been mostly about where to get skinny dress pants and I didn’t really talk much about the fact they are quite hot this spring and that you should just go out and get some. I could fill another whole post with a list of the celebrities who are wearing skinny dress pants when they want to look better than just casual, but aren’t quite to the evening wear point.  Again, I will save that for another day… Or maybe not. LOL.  Anyway, you don’t need to be a celebrity in order to be fashionable.  And if you know where to shop, you do NOT need to spend a lot of money in order to look great this some skinny dress pants women.
