I am a petite woman and I always feel my pants are too short. How long should women’s pants be hemmed?

The cleaners where I get my pants hemmed insists my pants are the right length. My pants are 1" above the ground. Am I nuts for thinking they are still too short?

the back part of your pants leg should JUST skim the ground. you shouldnt be stepping on them, but the pants should JUUUUSTTT skin the ground
They should be about at the base of your ankle bone…I don’t know if that’s what 1 inch from the ground is, though.
The length – just as with men’s – should fall right on your heel of your shoe. Bring shoes you’ll wear when you have things sized, and you can’t go wrong. They do, after all, work for you. And if YOU don’t like it, they shouldn’t be forcing it on you.
An inch off of the ground is too high! Don’t let them! Your pants should touch the ground- but be careful they aren’t so long that the drag when you walk! Anything above that just looks goofy.
the proper length hem actually depends on the shoes you are wearing with them. in general the rule of thumb is that they should hit the middle of your heel of your shoe.
It depends on the height of your shoes. I like my pants to cover most of the shoe, without touching the ground. You should try SearchByInseam.com instead of paying for a tailor to hem your pants. The site allows you to find your exact inseam length. Hope it helps!
