Is womens clothing size the same across various lines?

I crossdress and my clothing size for men is consistent across different stores. For womens clothing, I shop from one store and my size is a 5. If I shoponline from another store, would it be safe to order size 5?

Every online store should have a size chart. The reason for this is because, even though they say things are size 5, there are a lot of stores that will either fit bigger for vanity sizing (so normally you’re a size 5, and you fit a size 3, thus making you feel better about yourself…i.e. Old Navy) or smaller in order to cater to a certain market, keeping the "larger" people out of their store (think like Hollister). So yeah, definitely check sizing charts and make sure you know your measurements. I’m in Fashion Design, so I’m kind of knowledgeable in the area.
DO NOT SHOP FOR STUFF ONLINE!
it never fits right=[
women’s sizes vary from store to store.
like i went to wet seal and their size 00 wouldn’t even fit
(i couldn’t snap the button)
and at Kohl’s, 0 was too big.
weird, huh??
when you try something out you can be sure it fits right. if you order, you don’t rally know…
so anyway, good luck.
Not always. Most brands of clothing will have slight variations, but they’re usually unnoticable. It doesn’t matter what store it is, it depends on the brand. Check the size charts, and if you’re not sure, only buy things that can be returned.
no not the same…
just buying my daughter jeans this week…
one brand she wears a size 0 and the other brand a size 9…
that is a huge difference and they both fit her the same.
she has a few other brands that are 6.
they are all different.
just buy where you can try them on.
(take a woman with you… it’ll be easier in the dressing room if they just think you are giving your opinion)
make sure you cheak theyre sizing chart!
