Sometimes you have to wear dress pants right?  Not everyone has a job that allows them to wear jeans all the time.  I wish I did, but must of the time I am dressing for success.  Where I work, I typically wear variations of the standard dress slacks on Monday through Thursday, but on Friday, they let us go a little more casual.  We don’t get jeans days like a lot of you out there, but they still call it casual Friday.  For me, that means a pair of skinny dress pants.

I know this site is mainly about Focus 2000 pants and they do carry some skinny jeans, but not as much along the lines of skinny dress pants.  Focus 2000 does make petite dress pants and dress pants in smaller sizes, but not much of what I would true skinny dress pants which are typically a stretch material like lycra, blended with perhaps polyester or some other synthetic.

Where to Buy Skinny Dress Pants

So, if Focus 2000 isn’t shipping these things out in droves, where can you go to get some great dress pants of the skinny variety?  Well, not surprisingly for me any way, you can get some great deals on skinny dress pants at Sears.  Many people don’t realize it but Sears has some really great fashions and their prices are great compared to some of the other big box stores.  I also like the fact that I can buy skinny dress pants either online or in the store at Sears.

Another one of my fav online places to get the hottest new fashions at great prices is 2b.   2b has a wide selection of skinny jeans but also has some skinny dress pants like the cute red ones in the image to the left.  Click Here to view their selection of skinny dress pants.  If you would rather visit a retail location, they do have about 30 locations across the U.S.   Just click the Store Locator link in the upper right corner of their website.

Yet another place to shop for skinny dress pants is Fashion Bug.  Admittedly, they do not have the widest selection in the world, but what they do have is a lot of matching accessories.  Even if you cannot find your fav pants in their online store, you will still want to have a look at their many colorful accessories.  Like many other retailers, they do have a little bit more available along the lines of skinny jeans, some of which come in colors which is kind of like a faux skinny dress slacks.

Skinny Dress Pants for the Not Petite

Finally, for those of you out there looking for slim fit dress pants but not in a size two, there are some options for you as well.  Often, the skinny dress pants in larger sizes are simply termed slim fit.  They are basically the same, but in larger sizes and different proportions.  Lane Bryant carries these as do a number of other retailers.  Since these don’t really fall into the category of skinny, I’ll leave the detailed analysis of these for another article

So, this has been mostly about where to get skinny dress pants and I didn’t really talk much about the fact they are quite hot this spring and that you should just go out and get some. I could fill another whole post with a list of the celebrities who are wearing skinny dress pants when they want to look better than just casual, but aren’t quite to the evening wear point.  Again, I will save that for another day… Or maybe not. LOL.  Anyway, you don’t need to be a celebrity in order to be fashionable.  And if you know where to shop, you do NOT need to spend a lot of money in order to look great this some skinny dress pants women.
